Have their publishers have choked off library lending?
Of course, I remember getting hooked on series books in the old days and going to the library to get, say, #4, and discovering it was out. A disappointment for sure. I wonder if the same thing happens regularly with digital lending.
There is a real advantage to just going ahead and buying a set and reading at one's leisure!

P.G. Wodehouse is in the public domain, at least in Canada and probably also elsewhere. You can find several of his books
here in the MR library.
