Yes, but unless you de-drm that copy, it will work only for the devices it have been downloaded for. Reinstall windows and kindleForPC, oh, damm, the copy will not read on the pc anymore. You need to register the new kindle for pc to amazon, and download the book again.

It's less problematic with ADE, the copy is registered to you adobe account, and will be usable. install ade, register it, import books into ade, send to new device. Adept is crap on lots of aspect, but not that one.


But even there, i de-drm for my peace of mind. So my books are really mine.
