Hi all, I purchased a new Nook color january 5th. I am enjoying it after dealing with a couple of glitches.
Brand new out of the box the charge cord was defective (metal tip that goes into the device was actually bent and plastic cracked) . When I called Barnes and Noble support to get it replaced I found out that my device was not associated with any base warranty! I was told to call the Barnes and Noble store where I had purchased it and tell them to add on my base warranty. I did and of course the store manager said no they dont do that and instructed me to call barnes and noble support back. The minute I had purchased the device there was suposed to be a base warranty attached to the serial number. 4 phone calls and 12 days later I finally have a base warranty associated with my device. The store manager exchanged the charge cord for me....thank goodness! Does anyone else notice that when callling barnes and noble support its always an extended wait time? Like always!
Anyways...I have managed to transfer some music ( itunes) files and some pictures from my computer to my nook color. I purchased a sd card and would love some help on how to put books I purchase on my sd card so I can trade back and forth with my sister who also has a nook color. We both purchased the same e reader thinking we could share books and then found out how limited the lend me books are with B & N. thanks!!! Annette (michigan)
