Yes, this is pretty much what I've been thinking of doing. It seems like such a PITA though. I'm surprised there aren't some better apps on Amazon. (There are a couple, but they get horrible reviews.)

What really surprises me is that Amazon doesn't have something like this built into the Kindle. They could stick it in the "Expermental" folder if they don't want to support it. (It would be more useful than their stupid MP3 player, in which you can't even control the order the songs play in. Ok, so you have minimal control, but still...)
