Some posted a Photoshop guide for converting photos yesterday.
I used the irfanview. I cropped sections of my color photos to a reasonable sized rectangle, then used it to modify the image to the 600x800 dimensions, accepting the bit of stretch or shrink. I also converted to b&w with some tweaking of contrast. Since I use a password, I also added a text line with my email address.
