Lunch for me is planned leftovers one or two times per week, then three or two times it is a can of tuna (darker meat, in oil, with salt and pepper). Once a week I'll buy lunch out, more for the social aspect.

I build all my computers from a boxes of parts. Not precisely cheaper, but the least expensive way to get the good parts.

Thermostat is probably the biggest one, fortunately my wife and I have similar tastes. Even after many years in Florida, we haven't gone over to the dark side. Which would be running the heat in all of December and January, and running AC the other ten months, with all doors and windows sealed shut the entire year.

So even in May, when 90F is common, we'll have the windows open most of the day. A light breeze makes it nice. And today, when it's still only 53F outside, the windows are open again. It's 67 inside, just fine.

I remember hearing an expression from some Norwegian friends of my parents that there's no such thing as too hot or too cold, just wrong clothes.
