( for those of us who never shut down he program - & use sleep function on PC)

how about an announce sticky posting for when there's a new release - with changelog highlights)

I only found out about 7.4, & missed 7.39 because of discussion threads. my install had not gotten around to checking for updates while that was happening, probably because it had not been shut down + restarted ?
