it's technically an emergency brake. it can freeze in cold weather and takes an extraordinary amount of time to thaw. when it is frozen you cannot move the car at all, it is even tighter than normal. also, as LCF has pointed out, using it a lot stretches the cable so that it comes to the point that you REALLY need it, it does not hold.

I had on a pair of riding boots ;o(. I have very rare help. I just broke everything down into smaller portions and made more trips even though all I wanted to do was crawl into my bed. I'm at work right now rotating ice packs
