I actually had to go for a job-interview once, when all was iced over, like mirror. I had no socks (at 21 years of age) and was wet all over when I finally arrived. Did get the job, though.
You remind me of my most memorable job interview - flew into Prince Edward Island in a blizzard (Canadian airlines seem to fly in any weather) - was supposed to be picked up at my motel by car to go to the interview - blizzard dumped 3-4 feet of snow overnight. So the island folk showed up on foot at my motel, provided me with a knee-length fur lined parka and knee-high snow boots - and we walked through waist high snow to get to the interview site on campus. They walked in front to "blaze the trail" and I floundered along behind. As I repeatedly fell flat on my face in the snow, I rethought my decision to apply for a job here.
[P.S. I didn't get the job.]
