This is the way it works. A collection isn't a folder, it's just a "tag" that's associated with the book. Consequently, if you sort by author or title, you'll always see the book both in the collection AND in the main list.

One tip: start your collection names with an "_" and then sort the books by title. The collections will now always appear at the start of the list.
