Having read ebooks for donkey's years on an old xda11, it finally gave up the ghost. Having watched three of my technophobic relatives given Kindles for Christmas, then telling me how great they were, I decided to buy second hand. I was going to go for a 5 inch reader, but ended up with a PRS-505 for a bargain price.
I have to say I'm finding it hard to get along with. Being used to a backlit screen, the light grey background and dark grey text were a bit hard to read. There are obviously technical reasons why the background is grey, but you don't get real books with grey paper. End of moaning.
A massive thanks to this forum. I have now got to grips with Calibre and reconverted my epub files to use a smaller bold font. Looks much better, and it won't need charging every night.
