Best not to "settle" for anything IMO. If a gadget isn't my top choice then I simply won't buy it - even if it is cheaper. Because a gadget I feel only luke warm towards isn't worth anything. I'd rather save up longer and get what I do want.

Luckily Amazon are brilliant on returns. So anyone who doesn't feel the Kindle is right for the should simply return it and look for something they will be happier with.

There are a ton of other e-ink devices - not many with the latest pearl screen but I'm sure you could find something you at least feel happier with OP.
