I agree with you Sonist. I've been telling all my friends to wait until I get mine for them to see if the device will do what they want. Then again, no one can order one right now anyway.
Some of the ones that were supposed to ship this week have been delayed because Notion Ink was still waiting on their FCC and CE numbers to apply to the units. But some of those not in the United States I suspect will be getting theirs in the next week or so.
For what I know about the screen quality. I've heard that the colors are not as crisp as the iPad, but you can read it outside in the sun unlike the iPad. I already knew that it wouldn't be as crisp, but I'm hoping it will be acceptable. We'll see.
