I just went out to try and drive over to my mom's house, but no cars are making it on my street at all. It's solid ice. I can't even walk over there today, because, again, solid ice. You can't even stomp and crack it.

If you don't have ice crampons for your shoes, look around the house for something hard & rough (or with a point) you could attach to the bottom of your boot soles - to dig into the ice - you only need something under the ball of your foot - to give you some stability. Like putting chains on tires.
Also - kitty litter thrown on top of ice will give you traction too.
