About Laputa, all I can say I installed two versions: the first couldn't open its own bundled sample book. The second just crashed when I tried to do anything with it. (I suspect it may not like Spare Parts. But that's just a WAG.)

Wow, good to know about Laputa. Nathan mentions it on his blog (I think that's where I saw the reference), but don't quote me on that.
If I read Hiaig's response correctly (and thank you for laying the steps out, by the way), it sounds like the partitioning is easy but I *still* have to root the bloody device.
In which case . . . I think I'm waiting. :<P
