Genoese school of singer-songwriters means those strongly influenced by Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, George Brassens, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen. Most of these singers have been very successful in the '60s, for some of them success has continued . Usually form part of the Genoese school of singer-songwriters:

I was a kid than: that music gave me pleasures in more than one way ...
I am sure that there are very good singer-songwriters nowadays in Italy. Maybe some kid will point them out.
