The Genoese school of singer-songwriters means those strongly influenced by Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, George Brassens, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen. Most of these singers have been very successful in the '60s, for some of them success has continued . Usually form part of the Genoese school of singer-songwriters:

* Luigi Tenco (Cassine 1938 - Sanremo 1967)
* Fabrizio De André (Genoa 1940 - Milan 1999)
* Bruno Lauzi (Asmara 1937 - Peschiera Borromeo 2006)
* Gino Paoli (Monfalcone 1934 -)

I was a kid than: that music gave me pleasures in more than one way ...
I am sure that there are very good singer-songwriters nowadays in Italy. Maybe some kid will point them out.
