Actually I just asked for a Nook and my husband always buys the latest thing. I was pleasantly surprised though when I started looking into what I could do with it just out of the box not to mention if I end up rooting it.
I love that I can read with the lights out. I like being able to flip back and forth between reading and the internet and have Pandora going at the same time. I've loaded my favorite pics of my daughter to carry with me. The only thing I kinda wished it had was the text to talk that the Kindle has.
