As of this morning (1/11) the deal now seems to be a $25 coupon good only on online order of $74.99 or more.

And now you only get the coupon when they get your unit, although that part just is common sense.
I submitted a couple of mp3 players yesterday and "got" the $30 coupon deal, although I haven't received the confirmation e-mails with coupon info yet. (Fingers crossed...AND I haven't sent them in yet...waiting to see the coupon first...)
This morning I thought of one more mp3 player, but when I went to the website and put in similar parameters as the other two, I got this message instead:
Quote:
I understand that I will receive an eCoupon for the amount stated above immediately upon receipt and verification of my trade-in item.
My eCoupon for $25 can be redeemed online during checkout at www.sonystyle.com with a combined purchase of $74.99 or greater.

I then checked it, just for fun, with much nicer mp3 player parameters (my current unit), and with a camera, and although each of those had an "estimate" of a gift card for some additional amount, the first $25 was still this new type of e-coupon.
Knew it was too good to last - now I just hope the two $30 codes that I requested yesterday DO come through that way...and not these new, virtually useless ones...
