No news as yet... In fact I can't get in touch with them anymore.. Either the phone lines are down or they're on their way out.
Last time I spoke to them - before lunch - they were OK... They live in a double story house, and when the water started rising into the kids' bedrooms at 5 this morning, they pulled the kids out of their beds, and took them upstairs, where the kitchen and dining room is.
Unfortunately there are many people, who refuse to evacuate, because they think they're safe... I know there was a helicopter on stand-by... but my philosophy is: No news, good news...
I had to go and get some milk, and I went to Redbank Plaza (large 3 story shopping centre).. Only 1 shop open on the top floor (K-Mart, where I got a pair of gum boots), none on the second floor and 2 on the bottom floor...
