I find it so odd... I Denmark you can buy buy raincoats and gumboots everywhere, but here in Australia, where it rains so fast and hard, all you can buy are umbrellas. Maybe I'm supposed to walk out to my birds in bare feet...  |
I got a pair of gumboots in KMart about 10 years ago and I hang on to them like they were gold-plated! What about farm supply shops or hardware stores? Builders often wear them when they are working with concrete so they must be out there. Otherwise just buy some of those really cheap canvas sneakers (a whole $5 at my local shop!) and "sacrifice" them - those little birdies will thank you!
