A computer USB port which is a supported method of charging a Kindle will give 5V at 500mA so your phone charger is fine. The UK Kindle charger is 5V at 850mA. Not sure why your one is 4.9V. The higher current capacity of the Kindle charger may mean the Kindle charges faster but it will be perfectly okay with ~500mA as that is the standard.
