Personally, I don't want an all-in-one type of device. I like a dedicated reader as it gets me away from being connected (mine obviously has no wifi). I want to focus on the story the author is telling and not be distracted by the constant tweets, facebook updates, incoming emails, RSS feeds, and all of the other distractions being connected brings.

I absolutely love my Sony 650, it is just perfect for me. I can hold it in one hand, turning the page with a flick of the thumb of the hand i'm holding it with, leaving my other hand free to pet and cuddle the dogs, stir / drink my coffee, adjust the blankets, and anything else. A device that was thicker or heavier just wouldn't allow this range of function.
