Logo Color Modes
Ok guys and gals, i'm seriously confused here. I already posted that on the german forum but there was no reply.
I downloaded some of the logos you posted here, and i noticed that they use 32 colors most of the time. Do they really display with your PB's??? I dont think so!
And what about the resolution? 865x1200? I think the screen is 825x1200 isnt it?
To my perception, the PB's can only display 4 shades of Gray (2 Bit) when switched of, and maybe 16 colors (4 Bit) or even 256 (8 Bit) when in Photo mode. To test it, i did two things:
1.) Created an 8 bit Image with a black to white crossover (logo_256_colors)
2.) resampled one of the 32 Colors-logos to rastered 4 colors.
Please, please, do me a favour and copy these 3 images to your 90x (I've got a 903) both to your photo and your /system/logo dirctory and tell me which one looks better as a logo/in photo mode. I think it is the 4 color one (except it does not display in Photo mode ;-)
Or maybe i'm doing something completely wrong. Anyway, here come the pics...
