Functional split between iPad and iPod Touch.
I use the Touch on packed subways when spending months in Asia, for instance. I can wrap my hand around the Touch, not worry about having it accidentally knocked down. I also can easily turn pages and turn off the Touch with one hand. For all else, I use my iPad. I carry it pretty much everywhere, in my bag.
I still buy print books as well, but I leave 'em at home. I used a Kindle for 15 months away from home, before iPad emerged.
