That's not a problem because you can see the real link when you mouse over it, and it's clearly an Amazon link anyway. That's where it matters -- the mouseover -- not how it appears in the post. That's what you don't get with the redirects, hence the problems. It's just a matter of whether the reader knows where the link is going or not.
Given some people's willingness, even eagerness, to post misdirecting links to, um, let's call them one man, or one girl, or two girls, or three men, on various forums, I -- and probably others -- have become more than slightly paranoid. (and if you don't know what I'm referring to, just be thankful) It's safer to just have the real links instead of redirects to them, and more to the point for you as a writer, if even a very few people will be more willing to click them, that's to your advantage.
