Why?

I think you did not research well when you bought one. Do you buy electronic devices based on the assumption of soon to be released firmware upgrades or patches?

On my case, I read a lot of technical books, SQL, and I do need a big screen for those or they will loose format; tried that with Nook 1st generation and was one of the reason why I sold, besides B&N does not have a good computer's book selection.

I don't use my DXG for PDFs only, mainly for computer books, but I do not think there is a better eink option for PDFs right now.

Now, I would be more than happy with a firmware upgrade but I did not based my purchase with the assumption or getting one pretty soon. What I really did was checking the product "as is" and with the features they currently have.
