I had thought about getting a scanner (I've seen some for as little as $10) but I have limited space and it would be a hassle to dig it out and hook it up everytime I wanted to use it. It's just about as fast to just type in the ISBN. Besides, I have a lot of older books that don't have a barcode to scan (many don't even have an ISNB).
