One of my coworkers is the proud owner of an identical Kindle. She ordered hers before Christmas and it was shipped earlier than estimated, so I'm hoping my situation will be the same *crossed fingers*.

If any fellow Canadians are reading this - I'd appreciate any pointers you can give on selecting a shipping methods. We have a choice of three: Standard International Shipping (averages 8-16 days), Expedited International Shipping (averages 6-10 business days), and Priority International Courier (averages 1-3 days). I asked my coworker which she'd chosen; she couldn't remember but thought it was the cheapest option. She received it safe and sound - however, the parcel had been left at her door (where it sat unattended for some time) and the package was exposed to the rain! So I'd prefer to choose a shipping option that guarantees in-person delivery (poss. with signature) but there's no way to tell that from the Amazon side. Can anyone kindly advise?

(Of course I'm feeling eager right now so I may just plump for Priority Delivery by Winged Dragon out of sheer impatience...)
Same here. I canceled my order for wifi (ordered nov 29th) to 3G+wifi on December 29th, and Amazon says they'll ship it on the 21st/22nd. I don't trust their estimate though, they are being very unreliable atm so won't be surprised if I get my kindle in mid february.

From what I can gather from other forums, Amazon is very quick regarding shipping. Personally I chose standard shipping, but I might upgrade to priority. In Canada, If the package is handled by Canada Post won't they at least ask for a signature?? They usually do with most packages I think...
