Take a look at the Tom Bihn small cafe bags. Very well made and nice colors to choose from.

Or if you have more money and want better protection, consider a Tom Bihn Ristretto for iPad. It'll be a little large, but you'll have great protection for the device. I *have* dropped my Nook while in this bag, it survived easily.

I got one of those with the Absolute Shoulder Strap to carry my regular Nook around on a daily basis and it has been perfect for my needs! My Nook is well-protected, I have enough room to carry extras, plus my everyday need stuff, like wallet, checkbook, phone, etc... and it's organized and comfy!
