Sorry about causing any trouble. I have talked with Newegg and yes my unit is defective.
It has the latest firmware updates on it as well. They will offer another unit or a refund. My unit will not display any .pdf files and locks up with the use of any .mobi files.....and I am using free public domain books from
www.feedbooks.com to test this out.
I will work all this out with Newegg and see what happens, but it seems that I have a dfect....which can happen with anything. They will make it right.
