Yep, it's the book!!
I sent it to my Kindle then got sidetracked for awhile. When I went to check it was frozen solid. Took awhile to reset it, but all back to normal now and book is deleted.
I wasn't upset since I kind of expected it to happen. I also knew it wouldn't do any hardware damage.
You can rest assured your Kindle is not at fault.
