A fluctuation of a pound or two is easily possible day-to-day.

But (if you can be relaxed about it) this is why daily measurement is good - you can more easily see the fluctuations and tell if there's a trend or not.

If you weigh yourself every day for a fortnight, and in the first three days you're 12 stone 0 +/-1 lb, and for the last three you're 11st 12 +/-1 lb, you can tell using daily weighing. But with just three weekly measurements, you can tell nothing. You could get any results between no change at all, or a loss of 4lb.

So I prefer to weigh myself every day (or nearly so).
