The problem is that once that NookColor is rooted (so easy to do) it is just another android tablet. And a forum for Android tablets is a very different beast than a forum for a (mostly) dedicated eInk reader. It becomes a forum for internet applications, for questions about how to setup email, samba servers, etc.
I own both the eInk Nook (nonrooted) and a NookColor (rooted). Without a way to filter out the rooted/NookColor posts, the forum has become nearly completely useless for those using Nooks as shipped, as nearly dedicated ereaders.
I go now to the official BN forums for regular Nook info. Way too hard to find it here -- regular Nook threads are quickly pushed to subsequent forum pages and queries can easily go unanswered. Why bother trying.
I'd like to see MobileRead support e-readers first. It can still provide what has become a very fine android tablet forum, but this shouldn't be at the expense of those interested in the Nook as an e-reader.
