Thank you, DiapDealer. It's not so much that I'd feel wrong, I guess, since I'd simply be saving the files for backup purposes. But I don't want to end up discovering that I'm doing something illegal. (Grumble, grumble...)

I'm going to try to figure it all out. I really do want an eReader--a Kindle would be ideal, now that I've played with them and know I like the experience--but the risks on content loss seem significant, far more than I'd anticipated.
