A subforum would be ideal where everyone has a thread to list their books and there's one thread where people who want to can discuss their books.
But I vote for the two threads as well, because that seems like the easiest solution to our problem:
- one for lists (as in the social group), where people edit their post to add new books (so that way we get 105 posts, so you still have a chance of finding your own post). Maybe we should state in the first post of this thread that discussion should be limilted to a minimum, that way it doesn't get too crowded.
- one for discussion. My main concern with this is that people will use it to just say: I finished this book and will now start that one. That's what we already do in the 'what are you reading' thread in the book recommendation's forum. I would really like to see some reviews in this discussion thread and, as someone has said, ask about books that have caught your eye on someone else's list.
So I agree with you KK, we should just go ahead and set it up. Go with the flow
Oh, TERMINATOR has let me know he's in favor of a discussion thread.
