The Aluratek Libre Pro, which is similar to the JBL, does include a basic MP3 player. I gave one to my mom but haven't done very much with the MP3 player. I know that it will only play MP3s, and only at a bit rate of 128 kps or less (it is possible to convert files from a higher bit rate using free software).
