I bought a K2 because it was cheaper than (most) other ereaders I had heard about. The screen was awesome. It was nice to trade up from my tiny old Palm Zire. The books were cheap (before the big change). I could read it comfortably in sunlight (although to be fair I could also read books on my Zire in sunlight).
I bought my Kindle3 to get wifi, get rid of 3G (don't want or need it), and to get an even better screen.
The only credit I really give to Jeff Bezos was that he thought it was a nifty idea to bring ereaders to the mainstream.
And, for the record, Shaun Cassidey was MUCH hotter  . |
