A few years ago I had to give one of my cats some very bitter pills -- I can't remember what they were. Anyway, I ended up going to the pharmacy and buying some empty capsules and putting the pills inside those. The capsules didn't have any taste so it was at least a little easier to poke down his throat than the pill, and slicker too.
