Recent JetBook Lite owner here, but also a longtime owner of multiple MP3 players. The added benefit of listening on an MP3 player is that if I have to put the "book" down for a minute I can keep the audio going.
If you decide to go this route you can also look for "podcast" functionality. I have a Sansa Clip (no Plus) and audio files saved as podcasts pick up where you leave off. But I can't say if it handles DRMed audio books -- I only listen to MP3s.
