I found when formatting for Kindle that using the at the end of each line instead of ..... bracketing the paragraph solves the italics text linebreaks.

No idea why. But I use notepad to edit the code...delete all and then replace with . Fairly simple with the replace search command, only takes me a few seconds to do the fix! Now the italics show up and don't cause the linebreak.
