i ordered the white 3g version on the 30th-ish, along with the eco vue cover. they promise i'll receive my order, all in one shipment, the last week of this month. i think part of the reason, though, is that i chose free super saver shipping. what can i say. i'm a free shipping whore. the thought that white might be more readily available did factor into the very difficult color decision, but i am now committed to white and not even a little bit disturbed by the long lead-time. just happy i ordered when i did, or i might be waiting longer.
(i have a functional-but-aging kindle 2, so i'm hardly high & dry.)
e/t/a: my ship-date has been moved up. now i'm to receive both kindle and cover between the 12th & the 15th.
e/t/a: my ship-date was moved to today (1/5). estimated arrival date: the 10th. pretty random, but now that it's on the way i hope it will arrive before monday. cover not yet shipped; won't for another day or two.
