My Mother does like to use the library because where we live we have three branches within 10 min or less from the house. We also have two B&N stores within 5-10 min from the house. Because of that and also being told that the Nook works out the box with no extra work to use library books.....that somewhat makes it a better choice for her. I realize that I can strip DRM and change file formats and mod this and that file....and for me that is ok, but for mom I would rather make it as simple as I can for her. She is looking at a Nook tonight, then will look at my wife's Kindle 3, and I will show her my JetBook Lite when I get it. Maybe from those three we can find the right unit for her.
Update:
She likes the B&N Nook, so if she decides to buy in the an ereader, it will be a Nook.

Thank you all for the help.
