After I installed the 3.0.3 update on my previous Kindle; the browser got better, more stable. That's why I updated to 3.0.3 when I got my replacement and my new Kindle.
I've got no problem now at all with both; that is....I've monitored the indexing like a hawk when downloading my books. If it indicated, after a few hours, there were some books still indexing.....woosh...deleted them-reformatted and tried again, or phoned Amazon.

I'm convinced that most of the problems I had with the Kindle, were connected with downloading and indexing a lot of books, and not wether I had downloaded the latest update or not.
