In our country we eat oliebollen= a kind of doughnut without the hole in the middle on New Years - eve and morning; with raisins or without and layered with powdered sugar. For the three of us+ visitors I usually bake or buy 60 of them and they're all gone now.
You can buy them at the baker's or on the street.
