In order to sideload files to your Samsung Galaxy S (or, in the US, Fascinate, Captivate, Vibrant or Epic 4G) go to Options, and search for an option called USB Settings. It should be located in "About phone" for Éclair or "Connection settings" for Froyo. In this USB Settings menu you have an assortment of choices: Samsung Kies, Media Player, Mass storage unit... and you have to choose Mass Storage Unit. Once you've done so, you have to connect the phone to the computer, and mount it. The internal SDCard and the external one, in case it is present, will appear as... mass storage units, like USB sticks.
