I think that the main reason I got an Ereader was accessibility to books in English. I have lived in a non-English speaking country for the past 25 years and have always been limited to the selection at the 2nd hand bookstore (which also happens to be a 45 minute drive from my house).
As a native English speaker and a lover of books this has always be really frustrating and I am ecstatic that I now have access to such a wide range through the Kindle store.
