It is amusing that I am the
exact opposite! For my entire life, I have simply borrowed almost every book I ever cared to read. I grew up in the library. In fact, during summer breaks me and my brother went to the library daily at opening time. The books I owned could fit within a shoe box back then.
A decade later, I began to pine after some of the books I had borrowed and lamented over the fact that I did not possess them. I began a crusade of purchasing books I read many years ago and wanted to own. That quest continues to this day and every few months or so, while also picking my brothers brain if I am unable to remember an author or book title, I manage to retrieve one more book from my past that I felt may be irretrievable.
Today, I purchase books. For the next two decades of my life, I won't make the same mistakes I made for the first two decades.
For me, this is what works!
