If you're not going to use it primarily for reading, an eInk device is going to do you very little good. For Internet capabilities, a good smartphone will be a lot more useful. If you got a gift receipt with it, you could see about trading up to the nookColor. Rooting the NC makes it a fairly capable Wi-Fi tablet.
