Well, I can understand how it would make it easier to do a title-specific or author-specific search, but I really don't think it makes the line easier to read by a human.

If I was doing this, I would omit the delimiters completely. Just let 'em search for any string. If they enter Mark Twain, it would find books by Mark Twain along with biographies with that name in the title.

But don't worry about it. It was only a very minor criticism, and it's quite likely that most people will be happy with it the way it is.
