I got the same error and emailed support, this is their response:

"Hi. You need to update your IQ's firmware to latest 2.0.3 version, it would help."

The SD card I ordered is not here yet, so I haven't tried it. I am somewhat doubtful that it well though, as I have not done anything to it yet that would cause a mis-read of the serial number.
